Satellite Data and Service Centers (CDS)

CDS-SAT-CERSAT

CERSAT is dedicated to the archiving, processing and validation of data from satellite sensors (altimeters, scatterometers, radiometers, SAR, ...) focusing on sea surface parameters and air-sea interactions.
It is based in Brest and managed by IFREMER.

CDS-SAT-AVISO

The role of this center is to exploit altimetric data derived from satellite observations measuring the height of the oceans.

It is based in Toulouse, led by CNES as part of the SALP multi-mission project and comprises two separate entities: AVISO and CTOH.
