Ten-year observation and research projects are structuring research actions focused on a specific scientific theme. Generally focused on a particular region or ecosystem, they are dedicated to understanding and controlling the mechanisms that govern the functioning and evolution of an ecosystem. Involving the research community and operational organisations, the projects are long-term actions aimed at coordinating a set of interdisciplinary and international research programmes at the regional level.
