End November, about 60 persons coming from 12 different countries and 28 institutes met for a week in Germany to discuss all data management issues related to:
- the core Argo mission data system update,
- BGC data processing harmonisation both in real time and delayed mode.
A specific workshop was also organized to better fill the trajectory information necessary to derive accurate velocity fields. Euro-Argo was represented by France, Germany, Italy, Norway and UK. Once again very fruitful discussions occured with all participants moving towards the same goal : provide the best possible Argo quality data, both in real time for operational activities and in delayed mode for climate and scientific studies not only for temperature and salinity but also for the 6 biogeochemical parameters endorsed by BGC Argo.
