Colloque Global Change in Africa
L'objectif de cet atelier est d'étudier les avantages de l'utilisation des données d'observation de la Terre sur le continent africain pour surveiller et comprendre les changements environnementaux dus aux phénomènes naturels et aux facteurs de forçage anthropiques, et de mettre en évidence un certain nombre d'applications connexes présentant un grand intérêt pour la société.
Les principaux sujets abordés concernent les ressources en eau, l'utilisation des terres et les changements de la couverture terrestre, et les conséquences pour l'agriculture et la déforestation, l'exploitation des ressources minérales et les impacts environnementaux, les inondations, les sécheresses et la désertification, les zones côtières.
